EATONTOWN, NJ Oct. 30, 2020 / — Advanced Health & Education, New Jersey’s leading mental health and addiction treatment facility, today signed the Monmouth County Stigma-Free Initiative, a countywide program that aims to reduce the stigmas associated with mental illness and substance use disorder.
The Monmouth County Stigma-Free Initiative is dedicated to raising awareness of the diseases of mental illness and substance use disorders to create a culture wherein residents feel supported by their community and neighbors and feel free to seek treatment for the diseases without fear of stigma.
As a dedicated part of the Monmouth County community, Advanced Health & Education signed the pledge to raise awareness for mental health and substance use disorders within New Jersey and to express support for reducing stigma throughout the region.
“We have strong roots in New Jersey and feel very connected to the communities of Monmouth county,” said Arel Meister-Aldama, CEO of Sprout Health Group. “In addition to Advanced Health & Education, our Sprout Health Group headquarters are also in Eatontown.”
More than 20 nonprofit organizations and partners joined Advanced Health & Education in signing the pledge.
