We are pleased to share that nursing student Emily Meacham has won the scholarship.
Sprout Health Group is dedicated to providing the highest-quality treatment for substance use disorders through evidence-based methods and an ongoing commitment to education. To recognize those who choose to enter the important field of healthcare, we offered a $1,000 scholarship in 2020 to a college student pursuing a healthcare related course of study.
We are pleased to award the scholarship to Emily Meacham, a graduate nursing student at Metropolitan State University. We were impressed by Ms. Meacham’s fortitude, persistence, empathy for others, and passion for mental health.
“I am so grateful that Sprout Health Group has created a scholarship opportunity for students such as myself,” said Ms. Meacham. “The financial relief allows me the resources to focus all attention on obtaining my MSN degree. I am really looking forward to immersing myself in this semester’s material. Receiving this scholarship is humbling.”
The Colorado student plans to utilize her degree as an inpatient psychiatric nurse. “My passion lies in understanding the model of the patient’s world, identifying areas for evidence-based interventions, providing education, and enabling the patient in managing their needs,” she said.

About the Scholarship
We invited students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs to submit a 500-word essay explaining why they were interested in a health-related career and how they planned to use their degree. We welcomed students with declared majors in any of the following fields:
- Behavioral Health
- Counseling
- Nursing
- Pre-Med
- Psychology
- Social work
