Panic Disorder

A Panic disorder is acknowledged as an individual experiencing multitudes of panic attacks within a certain amount of time.  These panics attacks impact the individual’s bodily functions and might generate heart palpitations.  Individuals typically believe they are going through a heart attack or dying when having a panic attack, and feel as though they have no control.  The individual becomes fearful of having another panic attack and starts to dodge events where another may happen.

Social anxiety disorder or social phobia

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Individuals who have the need to, time after time, check on things or execute actions in a repetitive way, because of some concealed anxiety or fears.  They could have obsessive-compulsive disorder [OCD], a disorder that could lead up to anxiety, and is correlated to anxiety disorders.  The substantial difference in a person double checking that the door is locked when leaving, or carrying out a parallel function, and someone with OCD is that; OCD rituals take control over the individual and interrupts relationships, work activities, and day-to-day functions.  These individuals with OCD are obsessive that something terrible would happen, generally also related to germs or violence, and they perform habits over and over as avoidance.  They don’t receive pleasure from doing the habits, but it does offer a small sense of relief from the anxiety and stress provoking the affliction.

Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD] is another disorder intently in correlation to the anxiety disorders.  It builds up after an individual has gone through a traumatizing situation that impacts their flight-or-fight reactions.  Individuals maintain a sense of stress once the circumstance is finished, in some circumstances for months or years after the first trauma. They often re-live the moment or feels a particular emotion when, something or someone, sets off a trigger.  Several individuals affiliate PTSD with war veterans, but it could be brought on by any single or continual traumatic situation in an individual’s life.
